Barbara Kaye, a long time friend of the Eggology family, is well known for her amazing desserts. It was while on a camping vacation with her family in 1972 that Barbara became friendly with a woman in the next camp site, who coincidentally shared her baking passion, Their conversations, recipe sharing, and friendship continued long after they returned home, both women searching to perfect their favorite dessert... the ultimate carrot cake. Barbara examined every carrot cake she could get her hands on, noting it’s ingredients, taste, and texture, and came up with ingredient combinations that some might have scoffed, yet her carrot cakes became award winning. Attempting to test the scoffers and experts, a few years ago at one of our Eggology functions, she secretly replaced the eggs in her recipe with Eggology egg whites and something unexpected happened... the normal rave reviews of her desserts rose to exalted ooohs and aaahs ! Her magnificent culinary creation blossomed into equally wonderful muffins, and we felt these recipes were too outstanding to keep secret, so the decision was made for Eggology to begin baking something never before uncovered – the absolutely perfect carrot cake. Now Barbara Kaye oversees her tantalizing creations for us, watching them come to life just as she intended, with all-natural ingredients and for all to enjoy.
